Galena (Lead Sulfide) is a common mineral with characteristic cubes, a high density, and a strong metalic luster. It is a major ore for lead and silver.

For mosaics - Galina is similar to pyrite nuggets only more lustrous with flat surfaces. It is a very soft mineral and easy to cut with nippers.

PLEASE NOTE: Galena is a lead crystal. Please be careful working with it. Keep it away from pets or kids who might be inclined to eat it. Wash your hands after working with it so that any loose dust particles are removed.
